At ¨CEC¨ School we conceive the teaching-learning process of English as a second language applied to the context of reality in which our students live.

Our teaching methodology is based on a context-integrated language approach, following the guidelines of the CLIL methodology (Content and language integrated learning). This allows our students to acquire the different production skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) in English as a Second Language (ESL) in an effective, dynamic, and fun learning context.

We are convinced that teaching requires learning on a daily basis, which is why our teachers are continuously trained, participating in workshops, seminars, and systematic updates in terms of teaching and learning methods and techniques. This allows us not only to be bilingual entities of knowledge, but also beings and professionals who inspire love for the English language.

In preschool education, boys and girls begin their learning of English through playful activities, such as singing, drawing, art and dramatization with themes from their family and school environment, thematic units with which they learn how to use new vocabulary, and basic structures in context.

In basic and middle education, children expand their knowledge of the language by studying the content of the subject of English Science as well as learning grammar integrated into the context of different topics of literature, mathematics, social studies, history, music and art. In this way they lay the foundations for effective production of English in a daily basis and academic context.

In high school, our students continue to reinforce their English academically through the study of Science as a subject.  At the same time they remain immersed in the study of grammar through topics that increase their general culture, which promote the application of the English language to analyze and discuss past, current or future events and thus develop critical thinking as well as a fluent speech in English, to such a level that they are prepared to access an international certification and face challenges that in the future become life opportunities.
